Kuster A-42

Beautiful, robustly built Kuster A-42 designed by Mr W. Nieland and subsequently built by Consonant Yachts in 2005, launched in 2006. This Kuster A-42 is equipped with a robust double stainless steel sea railing which is situated at a comfortable height and ensures a safe feeling on deck. The deck is teak all around, both in the gangways and in the spacious cockpit. The cockpit is also fitted with a hydraulically lowerable stern door, also with Teak panelling. The transom door makes it easy to move bicycles or other items to and from the boat and also serves as a bathing platform. The cockpit can be darkened during the warmer summer days by means of the recent bimini (2023). The cabin deck has a lowerable mast and solar panels installed and a jabsco 60020 remote control floodlight. From the spacious open cockpit, move comfortably to the ground-level fixed wheelhouse via the sliding door. Once you enter the fixed wheelhouse, you immediately notice the amount of natural light guaranteed by the large Gebo double-glazed aluminium window frames. The panelling on board is solid teak and the cushions are upholstered in blue. On the port side against the facade is the galley which is equipped with an Isoterm fridge, 4-burner induction hob and an AEG combi microwave/oven, The Kuster is also equipped with a Candy washing machine on board. Forward is the comfortable steering position which has Raymarine equipment, hydraulic steering, hydraulically proportional bow and stern thrusters and the gauges. To starboard is a raised dinette. Throughout the entire fixed wheelhouse, good thought has been given to sea-going through the many handrails and railings, in addition to the Kabola central heating, the fixed wheelhouse is also fitted with underfloor heating. Via the comfortable stairs you can easily move to the corridor where the guest cabin is located, which is separated from the corridor by its own lockable sliding door. The owner's cabin is located at the front of the yacht and has plenty of storage space, headroom and a double French bed. The wet room is located on the port side, diagonally opposite the guest cabin and can be accessed via the corridor as the owner's cabin. The wet room has a shower stall, a sink, an electric toilet and storage space. There have been no cutbacks on the maintenance of the Kuster A-42 in recent years, for example, in 2021 the yacht was professionally taken care of outside and completely painted. In 2022, new service batteries and four new solar panels were installed, in 2021 a Raymarine Axiom navigation system was installed, the upholstery was completely tackled in 2018 as well as a Neptune mattress for the owner's cabin, curtains and cushions were renewed in 2022, in 2020 a new propeller was installed underneath, in 2020 the entire underwater hull was stripped bare and rebuilt with a 10-year warranty (subject to inspection every 2 years), in 2022 a new 4-person life raft was installed, the greywater pumps were recently renewed, the navigation lighting were renewed in 2021, the engine room was soundproofed in 2021 and in 2024 the yacht is equipped with new cable fender.
